Double Take

Having the day to yourself to do what ever you want is just priceless. I had a vacation day recently and decide to go out to snap some shots. I went to a couple different shops and saw a lot of cool things. Antique shops are so fun to go browse around in. There is so much to look at and most of the times the way things are place create some different compositions. These items I got a couple different shots of and ended up liking all of them. So I am posting them as double take because they caught my attention couple times. I will be posting more from this day sometime soon.

Daily News

I wanted to try something new with this image. I guess it worked(lol), I just like messing around some times. I just thought it made this shot a little more interesting. Isn't that what the media does anyway? Add there own twist on things to grab peoples attention. It crazy how there is four newspaper stands in a row. I guess you can have your pick of the daily news. Sometimes it is not always fun reading the news. 

Jack Johnson says it perfectly in his song called:

"The News".

A billion people died on the news tonight

But not so many cried at the terrible sight

Someone Was A Little Camera Shy

Day At The Pond

If you all don't know butterflies are my favorite so I could have posted a 100 of them. They are so beautiful. There colors are so amazing, and it so neat how the top wings have different colors then the bottom part of their wings. 

Along the pond I also found some dragonflies, they are hard as hell to capture. Drangonflies don't  like to stay very still. Unless you have a macro lens and don't have to try to get close to them to get a good shot. This was the best I could do without getting to frustrated. 

Of course I had to put the little froggy up. He was just chillin. I thought he would like to have his picture taken too.

Day At The Pond Part 2

This was just a crazy idea Ryan, Bill, and I thought of later after sitting in the sun all day at the pond. We tried making rainbows, it worked I guess. Some of these compositions aren't the greatest. This was more about capturing the rainbows. If you ever notice when there ever is a rainbow you never have your camera with. Well, that is always what happens to me. So we just made are own. The sun sometimes make you do strange things.
